To support GS1 Member Organisations and remaining in line with the best practices, the GS1 Global recommends the hosting of periodic regional forums for the MEMA (Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa) region with the following objectives:

• Review and approve the region’s strategic plan
• Agree on regional projects and resources
• Resolve issues and explore opportunities
• Elect the region’s Executive Committee, if agreed by the Member Organisations (MO) in the region

This year, the MEMA was hosted by GS1 Mauritius at The Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa.
